Misfits Come Up Short at Little Caesars
|
The Salem Misfits extended their losing streak with a loss to the Little Caesars Hot N Readys.
The Little Caesars Hot N Readys dealt the Salem Misfits a 7-2 loss at The Pizza Oven. Pedro García was the star on offense. He went 3-5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Kent Scalici picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 2 earned runs on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 9. On the season, he is now 6-7.
Levi Tess was a key contributor to the win for the Hot N Readys. In the bottom of the first with two out, the light-hitting right fielder stroked a single to center. He was 1 for 3, while adding 2 RBI.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Salem manager Bill Clark. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
The last-place Misfits have lost 11 straight games.
