The Virginia Beach Deuces downed the Casper Ghosts, 11-4, at Virginia Beach Grounds. The Deuces were led by Luis Jelarde, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. Ralph Haggerty got the win, improving to 9-1. Virginia Beach right fielder Atílio Mansilhas changed the complexion of the game in the bottom of the sixth. That's when he belted a 2-run home run off Martín Aguilar. His 13th home run of the season put Virginia Beach in front, 3-2.

"We swung the bats pretty good throughout the lineup," said Virginia Beach skipper Yoshifumi Kamuta.
