4-2 Win by Deuces Continues Hot Start

Virginia Beach and Belvedere Park duked it out at Field of the Rawhides and the Deuces came out victorious.
Virginia Beach starter Cisco Ortíz pitched effectively against the Belvedere Park Rawhides at Field of the Rawhides. The right-hander led his team to a 4-2 win. Ortíz went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 4, and struck out 1. His record improves to 5-0.
It could have been a different outcome for Virginia Beach, had it not been for Harry Freidricks, the 25-year old right fielder . Freidricks contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Virginia Beach up, 4-2.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Virginia Beach skipper Yoshifumi Kamuta. "I can't complain."
Virginia Beach is now riding a 3-game win streak.
