Seawolves Beat Polar Bears, 6-2
The Long Island Seawolves stymied the Billings Polar Bears, 6-2, at Ballpark of Remsen. Jeff MacCamie, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Long Island. Winston Wenham earned the win to go to 2-4. He allowed 2 earned runs on 5 hits, with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts. The Seawolves saw their win-loss record go to 6-21. At the same time, the Polar Bears fall to 16-11.

MacCamie came through with some timely hitting for Long Island. With the score 2-0 in the bottom of the first and two down, MacCamie hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run single. It was his 12th hit of the season -- and a big reason the Seawolves managed to win.

In comments to the Long Island Bulletin, MacCamie admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
