Ghosts Turn Back San Bernardino, 6-2
|
Field of the Grasshoppers was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Casper Ghosts and the San Bernardino Grasshoppers.
The Casper Ghosts stopped the San Bernardino Grasshoppers, 6-2, at Field of the Grasshoppers. The Ghosts got a big game from Manny Maltby, who went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Casper, at 15-10, occupies 5th place in the Menard's AA.
It could have been a different outcome for Casper, had it not been for Blake Snow, the 21-year old left fielder . Snow contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Casper up, 2-0.
San Bernardino manager Marcos Serrano said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
