Ghosts Get One-Run Win at Marquette
Casper beat Marquette at Marquette Stadium, escaping with a 4-3 win. The win in large part was due to designated hitter Ron Thomas, who earned player of the game honors. He was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Earning his 1st save of the year was Tomás Vargas. Casper is off to a hot start at 6-1.

Thomas had a game-changing home run in the top of the fourth. On a full count cutter from Enrique Castro, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Ghosts a 3-1 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Thomas.

"We came out with the short end of the stick," said Marquette skipper .
