Despite a great performance by Portland left fielder Charles Mathes, the Capital District Red Knights defeated the Evergreens by the score of 5-4 at Evergreen Park. Mathes belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. At 20-22, the Red Knights find themselves in 7th place in the Third League.

The most critical at-bat came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out, Danilo Mosca hit a 1-0 fastball from Ricardo Gómez for a run-scoring single. It put Capital District in front, 5-4.

Mosca told a Capital District Herald reporter that he was "very satisfied" with the win.
