Areola never let Port Royal get something going. The Naperville right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Battlekings to a win. The winning pitcher was Areola, now 9-4. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. Chris Rogers, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 5th save.
Naperville grabbed control in the top of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, Matt Love delivered a 2-run single, to make it 3-1 in favor of the Battlekings.
"Raúl was throwing free and easy," said Naperville manager Mark Harrison.
The Disaster, now 39-63, have lost 5 straight.
