Miller Lifts Flyers to 8-4 Triumph
The Pennsauken Flyers and Tortolita Drummers obliged those fans who came to Drummers Ballpark looking for a good time.

Pennsauken beat Tortolita, 8-4. The win in part was due to catcher Artie Miller, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Dominic Parker was the winning pitcher. Over 9 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 8 hits, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts.

The Flyers beat the Drummers in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the home run Roy McFerran produced in the top of the second. Batting against Tortolita pitcher Francisco López, he gave his team a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run home run.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," McFerran told the Pennsauken Citizen.

Pennsauken goes to 46-37, Tortolita to 42-41.
