Rodríguez Goes Off, But Drummers Win
|
Calgary got a terrific game from catcher Gilberto Rodríguez. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Tortolita, 9-5. Rodríguez was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The Drummers move to 28-27 with the win, while the Lynx drop to 31-24.
Calgary had the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth. With two out, Miguel Rosales stood at the plate, hoping to find a gap. Instead, he grounded out. The score remained 9-5, Tortolita. The Lynx never could mount a comeback.
