The Disaster took Salt Lake City pitcher Caleb Sobieski's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Spirits Stadium. The final score was 2-0. Sobieski went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Port Royal reliever Joe Griffin was the winner. His record is now 3-1. Caleb Sobieski took the loss. Port Royal is 9th in the Silver AAA with a record of 18-26.
Port Royal took a 1-0 lead on Ricky Payton's 41st hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Payton hit in the top of the seventh, left Salt Lake City pitcher Caleb Sobieski shaking his head.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Payton.
