Tortolita beat Alloway, 10-3. The win in part was due to designated hitter Yoshihito Saikawa, who nabbed player of the game honors. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The Drummers go to 22-21, putting them 5th in the Silver AAA.

Saikawa came through with some timely hitting for Tortolita. With the score 2-1 in the bottom of the third and two down, Saikawa hit a full count fastball for a solo home run. It was his 4th home run of the season -- and a big reason the Drummers managed to win.

"Both teams played hard," said Tortolita manager Roberto Valverde.
