Athletic Club KC Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Thundercats

The Athletic Club KC had to overcome a fine performance from Richardson City pitcher Jesús Gonzáles to grab a 6-5 win at The Thunder Dome. Gonzáles went 7 innings and allowed 1 earned run. The 9th-place Thundercats have dropped 4 straight games.
The critical at-bat for Athletic Club KC came in the top of the ninth inning. With no one out, Ramón Souza hit a 2-run single, putting Athletic Club KC up, 6-5.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Souza told the Athletic Club KC Daily News.
