Buzz, MacPherson Pin Bad Loss on Disaster
The Salt Lake City Buzz stymied the Port Royal Disaster, 18-1, at Ballpark of Port Royal. Justin MacPherson, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 4 for 5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 5 for Salt Lake City. At 9-12, the Buzz find themselves in 9th place in the Silver AAA.

When the Buzz needed a boost, it was the light-hitting MacPherson who delivered. Facing Port Royal pitcher Ray Mangas the top of the sixth with runners on 1st and 2nd, MacPherson hit his 1st home run of the year. It made the score 11-0.

Port Royal manager Bobby Robinson called the blowout loss "a real dud."
