Yakima Makes It 8 Straight with 5-2 Win
The Yakima Hops did just enough to secure a 5-2 victory over the Lancaster Farmers at Hops Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Emílio Mavarro, who captured player of the game honors. Yakima, at 15-3, has sizzled in the early going.

Yakima grabbed control in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, Luis Rodríguez delivered a bases-clearing triple, to make it 5-2 in favor of the Hops.

"We're just feeding off each other right now," said Rodríguez.
