The Richland Rails turned back the Westwood Sixshooters, 8-1, at Rails Ballpark. Orlando Casillas was named player of the game for his fine performance. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Paco Manuel picked up the win with 7.1 innings of work. He allowed no earned runs on 4 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 1-0. The Richland Rails keep rolling, raising their record to 2-1.
With one out in the bottom of the third, Alexandre Keeping barreled up a fastball from Nicholas Adams. The result was a solo home run, putting the Rails in front, 2-0.
"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Ken Miller.
