Humpbacks Stick Golden Cranes with 5-2 Loss
|
Fans who came to Sea World watched the Alaskan Humpbacks and the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes fight to the finish.
Benefiting from José López's productive game, the Alaskan Humpbacks downed the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 5-2. López went 2-3 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Humpbacks. The winner was Billy Grange, who threw 87 pitches over 5.1 innings. The left-hander was charged with 2 runs on 4 hits. Andrew Webster got the save, his 4th in 5 chances.
Also having an impact was third baseman Gregory Shankland, who stroked a single in the bottom of the fourth for Alaskan. For the game, Shankland went 1 for 3 with a hit by pitch.
