Humpbacks Stymie Sioux Falls, Take 7-1 Win

Both teams had their chances, but the Alaskan Humpbacks eventually prevailed at The Bamboo Forest.
Behind a solid performance from right fielder Urs van Munster, the Alaskan Humpbacks defeated the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 7-1. van Munster was 4-4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Humpbacks. Billy Grange earned the win to go to 2-4. He allowed 1 earned run on 1 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Jack Ward locked down his 2nd save.
van Munster came through with some timely hitting for Alaskan. With the score 1-0 in the top of the first and no one down, van Munster hit a 1-0 fastball for a 2-run double. It was his 19th double of the season -- and a big reason the Humpbacks managed to win.
"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," van Munster told the Alaskan Bulletin.
Alaskan now owns a record of 45-31.
