|
Benefiting from the performance of Senior Pond, the Scranton Supernovas defeated the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 7-4. Pond went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the Supernovas. Jeff Schneider locked down his 9th save. Scranton is now 23-31, Sioux Falls 19-35.
Also making an impact was right fielder Nobuhiko Nakayama, who drilled a double in the bottom of the first for Scranton. For the game, Nakayama went 2 for 5 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs.
In postgame comments, Pond told the Scranton Chronicle: "Do people still doubt I give 100%?"
