Ellenburg got a terrific performance from pitcher Rob Silva, but it wasn't enough to beat the Sioux Falls Red Pandas. Sioux Falls won the Dog Park in Ellenburg contest, 3-1. Silva was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. Sioux Falls reliever Loeck Visser was the winner. His record is now 3-5. The losing pitcher was Ron Anderson. Mike Keys earned the save for Sioux Falls, his 1st.

The most important at-bat for Sioux Falls came in the top of the 11th inning, when right fielder Jon Erickson stroked a full count fastball to center for a 2-run single, putting Sioux Falls up, 3-1.

In postgame comments, Erickson said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
