Golden Cranes Lose, 7-4, at Doubledays Stadium
|
The Tremont Doubledays scored a 7-4 win versus the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes at Doubledays Stadium. Tremont pitcher Josef Strolz nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. In 5.1 innings, Strolz surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 6. He allowed 2 runs. The Doubledays raised their record to 17-26.
Early in the game, designated hitter Menno van de Vlugt had a 3-run home run for Tremont. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Doubledays on top, 3-0.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Strolz told the Tremont Observer.
