The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes stymied the Brinkley Belugas, 5-2, at Crane Field. Gilbert Graham, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Santa Barbara. Henri Pollini was the winning pitcher. Over 7.1 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts. Víctor Torres earned the save, his 12th, for the Golden Cranes.
Early in the game, Graham had a 2-run home run for Santa Barbara. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Golden Cranes on top, 4-2.
