Roberto Fierro Takes MVP Trophy Wednesday, October 6th, 2027 Roberto Fierro took USSL Double A by storm this year and he did it all at the age of 22. For his spectacular campaign, the Phoenix Hotspur Youth star has been named the 2027 USSL Double A Outstanding Hitter Award recipient. "To be considered amongst the best in the league is pretty overwhelming," said the center fielder. On the season he compiled a .318 batting average to go with a .427 on-base percentage. The native of Bajos de Haina, Dominican Republic also added 16 doubles, 2 triples, 12 home runs, 60 RBIs and 77 runs scored. Marcos Roa of the Durham Rapiers finished second in voting, while Apu Nahasapeemapetilon of the Billings Polar Bears finished third. |
