Bakersfield Starter August's Best Pitcher Wednesday, September 1st, 2027 In August, Valentín Rivera tore through the USPL Triple A like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 22 years old. The young Bakersfield starter posted a 3-0 mark and an ERA of 2.52 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 35.2 innings he collected 32 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .214 average. This year Rivera has 11 wins and 2 losses and a 3.12 ERA. |
