League Punishes Pair for Fighting Friday, August 20th, 2027 Tremont's David Pérez and Santa Barbara's Ron Yarbrough have been handed 2-game suspensions for their parts in yesterday's upheaval at Doubledays Stadium. The teams were notified today that the suspensions would go into effect immediately. According to the league commissioner Pérez and Yarbrough provoked and incited the brawl and bore the blame for what transpired. This year Pérez has hit at a .262 clip with 50 hits, 2 home runs, 14 RBIs and 25 runs scored. So far this year Yarbrough has 4 saves in 32 relief appearances with a 0-2 record and 3.31 ERA. |
