Eugene Clutch Captures Prestigious Trophy Saturday, September 25th, 2027 At the age of 21, Eugene Clutch of the Put-In-Bay BC could very well have his best years ahead of him. It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2027 was good enough to win the center fielder the USSL Single A Outstanding Hitter Award. "See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach." The top hitter put up a .252 batting average this year, as well as a .320 on-base percentage. He played 94 games and racked up 87 hits, 14 doubles, 7 triples, 11 home runs, 44 RBIs and 53 runs scored. Tural Bishara of the Put-In-Bay BC finished second in voting, while Gareth Monahan of the Walla Walla Walleye finished third. |
