Rainbow Mermaids Get Past Grafton for 6-2 Win
|
The Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids extended their winning streak at Field of the Middies.
Northern Virginia beat Grafton on the strength of starter Ángel Navarro's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 6-2 win. David Hudson, credited with the win, is now 7-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings.
Northern Virginia grabbed control in the top of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Ju-chan Pak delivered a run-scoring double, to make it 3-2 in favor of the Rainbow Mermaids.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Navarro told the Northern Virginia Daily News.
Grafton, at 28-40, has lost 4 straight.
