Stingers Fall to .500 After Loss to Grey Wolves
|
The Vancouver Grey Wolves stymied the Toledo Stingers, 8-2, at Wolf Den in Vancouver. Aquiles Marmelo, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 2-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for Vancouver. The winner was Manny Caraballo, who threw 94 pitches over 6.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 6 hits. Vancouver now has a 3-game win streak.
The two teams provided some entertaining baseball for the Wolf Den in Vancouver crowd. Regardless of the outcome, a good time was had by all.
"We were firing on all cylinders today," said Vancouver Grey Wolves manager David Krause.
