Middies Win Thriller, 3-2

The D.C. Divided got a superb performance from pitcher Leslie Brooks, but the Middies still won the game, 3-2. Brooks was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 8 innings allowing 2 runs. Grafton is 10-13 and D.C., with the loss, 11-12.
The game came to an abrupt end with one out in the bottom of the 11th. On a pitch from Luis Fernández, Pedro Santos drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It gave Grafton the 3-2 walk-off win.
"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Santos told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
