Postell Slugs Plainsmen to 10-3 Win
Both teams had their chances, but the Nebraska Plainsmen eventually prevailed at Plain Old Stadium.

With second baseman Keyveat Postell leading the charge, the Nebraska Plainsmen defeated the Mt. Vernon Bulls, 10-3, at Plain Old Stadium. Postell, who is tied for 2nd in the PA in extra base hits with 21, belted 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The win was credited to Daniel Mack in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Nathan Bolton took the loss. António Fernández got credit for the save for Nebraska. It was his 1st of the year.

Postell had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a first pitch fastball from Nathan Bolton, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Plainsmen a 5-3 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Postell.

"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Postell.

With the win, the Plainsmen have a record of 31-36.
