Chicago rode a good effort from starter Pang Qin to beat the Syracuse Storm at Storm Park. The final score was 6-1. Qin was the winning pitcher and moves to 5-4. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 3 walks. This win makes it 1 in a row for Chicago.

A key at-bat in the game came in the top of the fifth inning when the Tula sent teenager Ángel Pineda to the plate against Storm hurler Collin Ferrer. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a double off a first pitch fastball to score 2.

"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Pineda told the Chicago Times.
