Tula Take Tight Tilt
The Grim Reapers got a superb performance from pitcher Quinton Richards, but the Tula still won the game, 4-3. Richards was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 8 innings of 5-hit ball. Chicago starter Iwane Chihara was credited with the win after throwing 103 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 3-1. Anthony Ledesma recorded his 4th save for Chicago.

Rand McNally drove in one run for Chicago. In the top of the fifth, with the teams deadlocked, 0-0, McNally delivered for the Tula. His run-scoring ground out put Chicago on top, 1-0.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said McNally.

The Reapers fall to 8-11 and continue their uneven start to the 2027 season.
