Highlanders Top Lionhearts, 7-4

The Asheville Highlanders beat the Lannister United Lionhearts, 7-4, at Lionheart Field. The win was largely due to the efforts of left fielder Alejandro Castillo, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Gus Gamble earned the win for Asheville. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 3 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 3-5. Asheville, now 38-58, holds last place in the Premier AA.
Edward Woodstock didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 3-run home run to put Asheville on top, 3-0.
"I like to keep things lively in the clubhouse," said Castillo. "Believe me, it's much easier after a win."
