Late Rally Gets Win for Lionhearts
Lancaster designated hitter Gilberto Jiménez was sensational. He went 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Lannister United beat the Farmers, 7-3. Jiménez was named the player of the game despite the loss. Ramiro Flores picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-1. Jim Unknown was tagged with the loss. The second-place Lionhearts improved to 47-31.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the eighth, with the game tied, Corey Neace was at the plate when Lannister United scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Lionhearts to go in front, 4-3.

"Every win gets us closer to our ultimate goal," said Neace.
