Mercer Island Screaming Eagles starter Gob Bluth was in fine form against the Lannister United Lionhearts at Lionheart Field, leading his team to a 5-2 win. Luis Ochoa recorded the save for Mercer Island, his 1st of the season. The Screaming Eagles are now 35-27, while the Lionhearts fall to 38-24.

A key at-bat in the game came in the top of the second inning when the Screaming Eagles sent teenager Hideki Hisanobu to the plate against Lionhearts hurler Yoshida Kudo. With the bases empty and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a home run off a 2-2 fastball to score 1.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Bluth told the Mercer Island Herald.
