The San Antonio BC topped the Asheville Highlanders, 4-3, in USPL Double A action at Asheville Park. The player of the game was San Antonio pitcher Stanton Miranda. The BC saw their win-loss record go to 21-35. At the same time, the Highlanders fall to 18-38.

Ismael Sandoval's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With no one out, he rapped a fastball from Brandon McAllister for a run-scoring single. It put San Antonio in front, 4-3.

Sandoval told the San Antonio Daily News: "This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents. Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
