Braves Hang 5-2 Loss on Lake Monsters

Gryfindor Braves starter Marv Bradford was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Vermont Lake Monsters, 5-2. Bradford, now 5-6, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 2 earned runs. Biff Tannen earned his 18th save in 22 tries.
Gryfindor took the lead in the bottom of the third when Ignacio Medine stroked a 2-run home run. That made the score 4-2 in favor of Gryfindor. For the day, Medine was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Marv is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Gryfindor manager António Macías.
The Braves raised their record to 38-31.
