Patriots Rally to Eke Out Win
The Austin Rangers got a superb performance from pitcher Juan Valéncia, but the Patriots still won the game, 5-3. Valéncia was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. The winner was Boston reliever Eugene Clarkston, now 3-1. The loser was Gavin Blackburn. Boston is now 55-30, 7 games up in the Premier League.

The most critical at-bat came in the top of the tenth inning. With one out, Jorge Velázquez hit a 1-2 sinker from Gavin Blackburn for a run-scoring single. It put Boston in front, 4-3.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Velázquez said after the game.
