Brewer Powers Braves to 14-7 Win
|
John Brewer added some punch to the Gryfindor offense, helping them outmuscle the Plymouth Rocks, 14-7. In the game, Brewer went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Jorge Cedeño got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 5 innings. Gryfindor's record now stands at 18-15, placing them third in the Premier AAA.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, designated hitter Gonzalo Ángel came through big-time for the Braves. With Gryfindor leading 8-6, he belted a grand slam home run.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Gryfindor Braves manager António Macías. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
