BC Stymie Sunset District, Take 2-1 Win

Houston Park was the site of a competitive game between the Sunset District Fog and Houston BC.
Mike Owens helped Houston edge Sunset District by the score of 2-1. Owens went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 4, and struck out 3. His record improves to 3-3. Jim Unknown was credited with the save for Houston, his 1st of the season.
The BC beat the Fog in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the home run Carlos Kramer produced in the bottom of the fourth. Batting against Sunset District pitcher José Reyna, he gave his team a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run home run.
"It was a solid team effort," said Owens after the game.
Houston has now won 4 straight.
