It was a good time at Thunder Hawks Ballpark, where fans came to watch the Myrtle Beach Mermen and Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks get after it.

A 3-RBI performance from second baseman Jesús Torres, who is tied for 7th in the 3AA with a .281 batting average, led the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks to a 9-3 win over the Myrtle Beach Mermen. Gil Reeves picked up the save, his 2nd.

Ft. Polk South took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, Augusto Escobar hit a bases-clearing double to make it 6-3, Thunder Hawks.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Torres said. "We did a pretty good job of that today."

Ft. Polk South has a 3-game win streak, while Myrtle Beach has lost 5 in a row.
