DeAndre Thomas added some punch to the Long Island offense, helping them outmuscle the Casper Ghosts, 12-7. In the game, Thomas hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Long Island reliever Alan McKinney was credited with the win, to go to 2-0. Earl Simmons took the loss for Casper. The Seawolves are now 39-30, while the Ghosts fall to 33-36.

Mark Shoffner, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with no one out in the top of the seventh. That's when he connected on a fastball from Pat Buchanan for a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season put Long Island in front, 9-6.

In postgame remarks, Thomas said: "To all who've been doubting my effort -- I hope they saw this game."
