Ghosts Fall to Shooters, 3-2
|
The Springfield Shooters racked up a win at The Graveyard, bumping off the Casper Ghosts, 3-2. Gerald Keller, who started for Springfield, pitched effectively for his team. Keller got the win, improving to 2-3. He allowed 5 hits and walked 1 over 7.2 innings. Keller allowed 1 earned run. Earning his 7th save for Springfield was Ernst Chia.
Flexing his muscles for Springfield was Daniel Faraday. The first baseman had a solo home run in the top of the fifth for the Shooters. It put his team ahead, 2-1, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Faraday was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk.
"I never try to think too much," said Keller.
The Shooters improve their record to 21-14 with the win over Casper.
