The Virginia Beach Deuces thumped the Glendale Herons, 10-2, at Heron Field. Reg Spiers was a big reason his team got the win. Spiers was 1 for 1 with 4 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Miguel López earned the win to go to 1-3. He allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts. The Deuces sit in 9th place in the Menard's AA with a record of 14-19.
Also producing for Virginia Beach was second baseman Gabriel Pittman, who stroked a 2-run single in the top of the first. For the game, Pittman was 2-4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
