The Grasshoppers grabbed a 5-3 win at Field of the Grasshoppers, overcoming a fine effort from Atlantic City pitcher Bill Tugwell. Tugwell went 8 innings and allowed 5 earned runs. Bob Roth finished the game for San Bernardino and earned his 2nd save. The loss drops Atlantic City to 0-7.

San Bernardino took a 5-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Edgardo Bello hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring Grasshoppers fans to their feet.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Bello said after the game.
