Flamingos Fall to Evergreens, 10-8
|
The Portland Evergreens stopped the Las Vegas Flamingos, 10-8, at The Strip. The Evergreens got a big game from Eddie Ménard, who was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Fernando Ramírez earned the save for Portland, his 19th of the year. The Evergreens improve their record to 38-57 with the win over Las Vegas.
Portland grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Ménard, who is tied for 8th in the 3L in stolen bases with 18, hit a grand slam home run. His 7th home run put the Evergreens out in front, 7-5.
"We maximized our offense today," said Portland skipper Imran Baig. "That makes everyone's life easier."
