"Getting ahead of the hitters is the key," said Díaz.
The Pennsauken Flyers topped the Port Royal Disaster, 5-2, in USSL Triple A action at Ballpark of Port Royal. The player of the game was Pennsauken pitcher and San Juan, Puerto Rico native Claudio Díaz. The save went to Yajirobei Otomo, his 14th this season.
In the top of the second, Clarence Therrien had a big 2-run single off Pedro Pacheco. With the single, the Pennsauken third baseman put his team in front, 2-0. He went 1-3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI in the contest.
"Both teams played hard," said Pennsauken manager Juan Rodríguez.
Pennsauken, at 36-30, sits in third place in the Silver AAA.
