Hotspur Reserves Win at Alloway, 5-0

Fans who came to Ballpark of Alloway watched the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves and the Alloway Halberds fight to the finish.
Phoenix got an elite performance from starting pitcher Dylan Guérin in taking a 5-0 decision over the Alloway Halberds. After today's action, Phoenix sits at 33-31, while Alloway falls to 33-31.
The Hotspur Reserves beat the Halberds in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the single Júlio Mateo produced in the top of the sixth. Batting against Alloway pitcher Jim Unknown, he gave his team a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run single.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Alloway manager Santiago Vargas.
