Hernández Leads Loons to 1-0 Win over Continentals
|
In a tight battle between the Minnesota Loons and the Chesapeake Continentals, pitcher Jesús Hernández was in the zone. The Minnesota right-hander was named the player of the game in Minnesota's 1-0 win. Minnesota currently is in 4th place in the Silver AA at 43-41.
Hernández, who dominated for Minnesota, earned the victory to move to 8-4. He was in control the whole game, scattering 5 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 5. Chesapeake batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Hernández.
