Rapiers Need Extra Frames to Get Past Loons
|
The Rapiers had to overcome a good performance from Minnesota pitcher Horatio McAllister to claim a 2-1 win at Loony Bin. McAllister went 8 innings and allowed 1 earned run. José Morales got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. Dave Seals nailed down his 8th save.
Tae-shik Ch'oe's hit in the top of the tenth was a game-changer. With no one out, he rapped a fastball from Juan Deliz for a solo home run. It put Durham in front, 2-1.
"We did enough to win," said Ch'oe.
Durham now has a 3-game win streak.
